Mersey River Chalets

Surround yourself in the rhythm of nature. Breathe in the crisp forest air. Listen to the sounds of the river cascading downstream. Our pristine hideaway in southwestern Nova Scotia is an oasis where you can recharge from the busyness of the day-to-day.

Mersey River Chalets has a vision where the beauty of nature is accessible for all people.

We have designed a community where common physical barriers are minimized. We have a range of accessible chalets and our nature trails and boardwalks were designed to accommodate mobility devices.

Embrace the Journey

Indulge in the simplicity of our beautiful, natural surroundings and unique environment.

Mersey River Chalets is nestled in the Southwest Nova Scotia Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO designated and internationally renowned region of national and cultural heritage.

Surrounding our resort is Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site, the only site in Canada with both designations. The Tobeatic Wilderness Area, the largest nature reserve in the Maritimes, is right at our doorstep.

On Site Activities

At our resort, there is always something to do unless you choose to do nothing at all except relaxing! Enjoy your time at Mersey River Chalets whichever way you prefer. Quiet and solitary, communing with nature, or more actively using our complementary facilities which include canoeing, kayaking, basketball, tennis, walking trails and more.
